High school: Evans was a three-year letterwinner at Memorial HS, Evans was a first team all-district offensive lineman as a senior in 2006. As a senior he also earned second team all-Greater Houston honors from the Houston Chronicle, and he was named to the Class 5A Team Texas by texashighschoolfootball.com. He was first team Region III-5A selection and a third team Class 5A all-state pick.
