2005-06 (Tyler College): Two-year letterwinner at Tyler who earned second team all-America honors as a sophomore in 2006 after catching 38 passes for 884 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was the ninth-rated junior college receiver in the nation by Rivals.com after leading all of junior college football in both yards and touchdowns as a sophomore.

High school: First team Class 4A all-state by Texprep and the District 23-4A Offensive MVP as a senior.
