High school: Two-year lettermen and two-time team captain at Wagner High School (2010 and 2011). All-district quarterback as a senior in 2011 when he threw for 791 yards and seven touchdowns and ran for 361 yards and five touchdowns, leading his team to an 8-3 record. He also lettered in track and field.
