2012 (Freshman): Spend the season as a redshirt on the Wildcats' roster.

High school: First team all-state fullback who led his team to a 13-0 record in 2006.  He also lettered three years in wrestling and was a regional champion.

Personal: Son of Bobbie and Tom Hottinger. Born 28 May 1989. 2007 graduate of Akron High School.
