2006 (Redshirt junior): Valuable piece of an ACU offensive line that paved the way for one of the top offenses in NCAA Division II football. ACU finished third in NCAA Division II football in passing offense (296.8 yards per game), fourth in total offense (434.2 ypg), sixth in scoring offense (35.5 points per game), and first in fewest fumbles (three) and fewest overall turnovers (nine). Additionally, the ACU offensive line allowed just 12 sacks in 11 games in 2006. Savage earned second team all-Lone Star Conference South Division honors for his work on the ACU offensive line.
2005 (Junior): Started the first game of the season at guard, missed most of the rest of the season with an injury.
2004 (Sophomore): Started the first eight games at left guard for the Wildcats before missing the final two with a hyperextended right knee. 2003 (Redshirt freshman): Stepped into a starting role on the ACU offensive line after injuries ravaged the Wildcats early in the season.
High school: Savage was one of the top offensive linemen in East Texas as a senior. He was named all-district, most valuable lineman in the district, all-area first team and Class 3A all-state honors. Atlanta won its district title in 2001 on its way to an 11-1 season.
