Former intern Blake Potash was promoted to Senior Defensive Analyst / Director of Analytics in February 2019.

Potash – who graduated from Roosevelt University (Ill.) in 2016 with a B.S. in accounting – joined the ACU football coaching staff in July 2016 as an intern working primarily with technology, analytics and video. In his new role he will continue working with technology and the program’s budget, but will take on an even greater role in the analytical arena.

Potash has worked on the team’s 2-point conversion chart, analytics of when to go for it on fourth down based on percentages and down and distance, as well as helping determine coaches plan end-of-half and end-of-game clock management scenarios.

Off the field, he has worked to set up recruiting visits and recruiting weekends, as well as putting together the team’s scholarship board based on need and allotments.
