Conklin is listed as the starter at fullback going into the 2007 season.

2006 (Sophomore): Was the most productive Wildcat fullback in years, finishing with 14 catches for 218 yards and four touchdowns on his way to earning first team All-Lone Star Conference South Division honors. He was also a solid lead-blocker for a Wildcat offense that averaged 137.4 yards per game on the ground. He had three touchdown catches in ACU's first five games, catching a 36-yarder against Southeastern Oklahoma State on Sept. 16, a 19-yarder against Southwestern Oklahoma State on Sept. 23 and a 50-yarder against Northeastern State on Oct. 7.

2005 (Redshirt freshman): Earned the starting fullback job late in the season and had a solid year both catching the ball and blocking for running backs Taber Minner and Rashon Myles. He didn't have a carry on the season, but he did catch nine passes for 99 yards and one score, an 8-yard scoring pass in a Sept. 17 win over Texas A&M-Commerce.

High school: Unanimous first team selection at tight end in District 23-5A in 2002 after catching 12 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns. Conklin helped Pearland to the Class 5A Division I semifinals in 2001 and a Region III-5A Division II semifinal appearance in 2002.
