High school: In two seasons, Allen posted 836 yards and 4 touchdowns receiving, including 637 yards and 3 touchdowns as a senior in 2008. He was a first team all-district selection and team captain. Was also recruited by Baylor, Alabama-Birmingham, Tulane and Princeton.

Personal: Born 28 June 1991. 2009 graduate of North High School in McKinney, Texas. Family forced to leave home in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, eventually settling in McKinney.
