High school: In two seasons, Allen posted 836 yards and four touchdowns receiving, including 637 yards and three touchdowns as a senior in 2008. He was a first team all-district selection and was a team captain. Was also recruited by Baylor, Alabama-Birmingham, Tulane and Princeton.

Personal: Family forced to leave his home in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, eventually settling in McKinney. Born 28 June 1991. 2009 graduate of McKinney North High School.
