Listed as a backup linebacker going into the 2009 season.
2008 (Sophomore): Played in 11 games and finished the season with 13 tackles, including eight solo and one tackle for a loss. He also had one interception and recovered two fumbles. In the Wildcats’ 56-11 win over Eastern New Mexico on Sept. 27, Carr recovered a fumble (intercepting an option pitch in mid-air) and returned it three yards for a touchdown midway through the third quarter, pushing ACU’s lead to 42-11.
2007 (Redshirt freshman): Played in 12 games with one start as a freshman linebacker, finishing with 23 tackles (11 solo), including 2.0 tackles for loss. He also had one quarterback hurry and one pass breakup. He recorded a career-high five tackles in the Wildcats 52-28 win at Angelo State on Oct. 13.
High school: A four-year letterwinner at Canadian HS, Carr helped his team a combined record of 34-5 over his final three seasons with a state semifinal appearance in 2004. As a senior in 2005 he recorded 40 tackles and four interceptions as a defensive back to go along with 40 catches for 570 yards as a receiver. As a senior he was a first team all-district performer as both a cornerback and wide receiver. He was selected to the Amarillo Globe-News’ all-Area Super Team as a defensive back.
