High school: Finished the 2008 season with 121 tackles (56 solo), including 17 tackles for loss. Rudd also came up with five interceptions. Rudd was the TAPPS 4A District 2 Defensive MVP and an all-district linebacker. He was also an honorable mention all-district running back. Rudd was a two-time first team all-state linebacker and he was an academic all-state in 2008. Led Dallas Christian High School to a 14-0 record and the state championship in 2008. Played for head coach Mike Wheeler.
