Biography

Came out of nowhere to earn a spot in the Wildcats' starting rotation, eventually becoming one of ACU's most consistent performers.  Should pitch at the top of the Wildcats' rotation as a senior in 2007.  2006 (Junior):  Before the season began, ACU head coach Britt Bonneau said Kennedy could be one of the surprises of the season, and he was right on the mark with his prediction.  Kennedy, who was originally tabbed to be a relief pitcher and spot-starter, appeared in 15 games with 13 starts, finishing 7-3 with a 3.41 ERA (lowest on the team among the starters) to earn second team all-Lone Star Conference South Division honors.  He finished with two complete games (second on the team) and had one combined shutout.  He finished the season with 51 strikeouts and only 24 walks (lowest among starters) in 87 innings of work.  Pitched his best game of the season when the Wildcats absolutely had to have it in a May 7 win over Southeastern Oklahoma State in an elimination game of the LSC Post-Season Tournament.  Kennedy scattered seven hits over eight innings of work.  He allowed just two runs (one earned) while striking out three batters in an 8-2 ACU win.  Prior to ACU:  Kennedy played at Weatherford College before playing at Texas-Arlington.  High school:  Kennedy was an all-District 15-5A selection as a senior, and was named all-Montgomery County as well. Personal:  Born 03 October 1983.  2002 graduate of Conroe High School.
