2011 (Redshirt freshman): Saw action in eight games for the Wildcats as a backup offensive lineman.

2010 (Freshman): Redshirt.

High school: First team all-district offensive lineman who helped Burleson High to a 7-4 record. Was also named first team all-county and all-Fort Worth area. Played in Texas High School Coaches Association all-star game. Also standout in classroom and was twice named academic all-district lineman.
