2009 (Senior): Redshirt.
2008 (Junior): Saw limited playing time as a junior, finishing with just 3 tackles (2 solo) on the season. Had 2 tackles (1 solo) in win over Texas A&M-Commerce on Sept. 13 at Cotton Bowl.
2007 (Sophomore): Ononobi played in 11 games for the Wildcats, finishing the season with 17 tackles (11 solo) and 0.5 sack. He had a season-high 4 tackles (2 solo) in the Wildcats’ 45-20 win over unbeaten Eastern New Mexico on Sept. 29. He had 2 tackles and 0.5 sack in the Wildcats’ 56-12 win over Mesa State (Colo.) in the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs.
2006 (Freshman): Ononobi finished the season with 7 tackles (1 solo), including a 4-tackle effort against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Nov. 4.
High school: One of the top defensive players in the Metroplex in 2005, Ononobi finished his senior season with 105 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 6 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 5 pass breakups. He was a second team all-District 11-5A selection as a senior and was an all-area selection at linebacker. A team captain, he also lettered in basketball and track and field.
Personal: A native of Lagos, Nigeria. Born 30 Nov 1988. 2006 graduate of North Garland High School in Garland, Texas.
