
Five ACU Women’s Golfers Named CSC Academic All-District

ABILENE - A program-best five Abilene Christian women's golfers received Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday. Jasmine Do, Jiyu Han, Ryann Honea, Maddi Kamas and Kate Pickrell were recognized for their success on the course and in the classroom.
Eligible student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and hold at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Golfers must have been in the lineup for 75% of their school's team scoring events or have been in the lineup for the conference championship tournament. In 2024-25, less than 5% of student-athletes were named Academic All-District across all sports and divisions.
With five honorees, the Wildcats tied for the most Academic All-District recipients among Division I programs.
Honea was recognized on the Academic All-District team for the second year in a row, with Do earning the accolade in her first year being eligible as a sophomore. Han, Honea and Pickrell have received Academic All-Western Athletic Conference distinction in each of their first two seasons with the Wildcats.
Do is pursuing her degree in kinesiology with a 3.58 GPA. She logged a pair of top-30 performances, including a 24th-place finish at the WAC Championship. Do landed in 24th at the Red Raider Invitational.
Han is studying health sciences with a 3.61 GPA. She was tabbed to the All-WAC Second Team with three top-25 efforts, headlined by an 18th-place showing at the West Texas Classic. Han opened her junior campaign with a tie for 19th at Texas Tech's Red Raider Invitational and closed the year in a draw for 23rd at the WAC Championship.
Honea capped a remarkable career at ACU while working toward her Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, touting a 4.0 GPA. The All-WAC First Team honoree landed outside the top 15 just once in 11 tournaments and earned her third straight individual bid to an NCAA Regional. Honea logged seven top-six performances and was twice named the Jersey Mike's A Sub Above WAC Women's Golfer of the Week.
The San Angelo, Texas native won The Lady Clerico, part of a trio of top-three efforts. Honea tied for fifth at the WAC Championship and 15th at the NCAA Waco Regional. She is a two-time WGCA All-American Scholar.
Kamas began her postgraduate studies toward a Master's in business administration with a 4.0 GPA. She registered four top-10 performances in her first season with the Wildcats, including a runner-up showing at the WAC Championship. She tied for third at the Coach Mo Classic and was named the WAC Women's Golfer of the Week.
Pickrell is pursuing a Bachelor's in finance and holds a 3.82 GPA. She capped her junior season on a high note with a draw for fifth place at the WAC Championship. Pickrell also tied for 19th at the West Texas Classic and 21st at The Lady Clerico.
