ARLINGTON, Texas - Three Abilene Christian women's golfers received All-WAC honors, while head coach Rob Bennett was named the WAC Co-Coach of the Year, the Western Athletic Conference announced Friday. Ryann Honea and Maddi Kamas landed on the All-WAC First Team, while Jiyu Han earned Second Team recognition.
Honea, ranked 106th in the nation and the top-ranked golfer in the conference, picked up All-WAC First Team accolades for the third season in a row. Kamas has garnered First Team All-Conference honors in each of her five collegiate seasons, having earned All-Sooner Athletic Conference distinction all four years at Oklahoma City.
Voted upon by the WAC's head coaches, it's the most All-Conference honors the Wildcats have received in the program's three seasons, with Han and Bennett recognized for the first time in their careers.
Honea has displayed remarkable consistency this season, placing within the top six at her last five events. Honea has landed outside the top 12 just once in 10 tournaments and has logged seven top-six performances. She was the individual champion at The Lady Clerico and the runner-up at the PING ASU Invitational.
At The Lady Clerico, Honea recorded the lowest-scoring tournament in program history at 11-under 205 and matched the team record for lowest-scoring round at 5-under 67. She set Hillcrest Country Club's ladies course record in Bartlesville, Okla.
Honea tied for third at the Boilermaker Classic and drew for fifth at last week's WAC Championship. She has placed within the top five at the conference tournament each of the past three seasons. Honea will represent ACU at the Waco Regional of the NCAA Championships on May 11-13 after receiving an individual bid.
Honea has twice been named the Jersey Mike's A Sub Above WAC Women's Golfer of the Week this season, doing so on March 26 and April 9. She's received the accolade seven times in her career. Honea earned WAC Women's Golfer of the Month honors this past September.
Kamas registered four top-10 performances in her first season with the Wildcats, including a runner-up showing at the WAC Championship. She tied for third at the Coach Mo Classic and was named the WAC Women's Golfer of the Week. Kamas, a graduate student, placed eighth at the Red Raider Invitational before tying for 10th at ACU's West Texas Classic.
Han delivered three top-25 efforts this season, headlined by an 18th-place showing at the West Texas Classic. She opened her junior campaign with a tie for 19th at Texas Tech's Red Raider Invitational and closed the year in a draw for 23rd at the WAC Championship.
In his third season at the helm of the Wildcats, Bennett guided ACU to four top-three placements, including a victory at the West Texas Classic and second place at the WAC Championship. The Wildcats finished runner-up at The Lady Clerico and tied for third at the Red Raider Invitational.
Since 2023, Bennett has coached six All-WAC honorees, including Honea, the 2025 WAC Co-Golfer of the Year and 2024 conference champion. Under Bennett's watch, ACU has amassed five tournament victories and 19 top-five placements.
