ORLANDO, Fla. - No. 101 Abilene Christian women's golf closed out the opening round of the UCF Challenge Presented by PDI in seventh place at 3-over 291 amongst 16 teams at Eagle Creek Golf Club on Sunday. Sophomore
Jasmine Do powered the Wildcats in a tie for second place at 4-under 68, good for the best round of her career.
The tournament's second round will begin with an 8 a.m. (CT) shotgun start on Monday morning. In advance of cold temperatures, teams will play as many holes as possible before closing out the event on Tuesday.
ACU is four strokes back of Florida Gulf Coast and Penn State, both tied for fifth place at 1-under 287. The Wildcats boast the sixth-most birdies in the field with 14, six of which were recorded by Do. In her second collegiate round under par, she shot 3-under on the front nine with five birdies, including three in a row on No. 6-8.
Do leads the field on par-4 holes at 4-under and is tied for second with six birdies.

Ryann Honea followed in a draw for 23rd place at even-par 72. She minimized her mistakes, pacing the field with 16 pars and tying for the fewest bogeys with just one. It's Honea's seventh round of the season at or below par.
Kate Pickrell was right behind in a draw for 30th at 1-over 73. After shooting 4-over on the back nine, she rebounded with four birdies and 3-under on the front nine. The Austin, Texas native tied for seventh on par 4s at 1-under and drew for eighth with four birdies.
Maddi Kamas rounded out ACU's scoring at 6-over 78 in a tie for 81st place. She birdied her second hole of the day on the par-3 No. 11.
Marissa Loya was the final Wildcat in the lineup, tying for 85th at 7-over 79 with a pair of birdies. She tied for 10th on par 5s at 2-under.
