The 2025 Abilene Christian tennis teams were recognized for their exceptional work in the classroom as four women and two men were named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
The women's squad earned the maximum of four honorees --
Masha Vrsalovic,
Maria Cascos,
Alice Klinteby and
Angela Del Campo.Â
Senior
Benjamin McDonald and
Ethan Scribner from the conference champion men's team were named Academic All-District.
The honor recognizes student-athletes who are major contributors to their team on the court, and are also successful in the classroom.
Masha Vrsalovic - Junior (Cochabamba, Bolivia)
- Interior Architecture and Design major, 3.92 GPA
- Finished 4-12 in singles play, 4-12 as doubles player
- Won doubles match at No. 1 position in the quarterfinals of the WAC Tournament
Maria Cascos - Junior (Gijon, Spain)
- Psychology major, 3.92 GPA
- 2025 All-WAC First Team
- Recorded an 8-7 mark in singles, 10-6 in doubles this spring
- Went 10-3 when paired with Olivia Sears, including winning final five decisions
Alice Klinteby - Junior (Falkenberg, Sweden)
- Psychology major, 4.0 GPA
- Finished 5-7 in singles, 4-11 as a doubles player
- Earned singles and doubles victories in WAC Tournament quarterfinals
Angela Del Campo - Junior (Gijon, Spain)
- Marketing major, 3.93 GPA
- Compiled a 7-10 mark in singles, 3-10 in doubles
Benjamin McDonald - Senior (Plano, Texas)
- Graduate student in Accounting, 4.0 GPA
- Also earned a 4.0 GPA as an undergrad in accounting
- 2025 All-WAC First Team
- Finished with a 10-3 singles record this spring, including winning last four decisions
- Went 12-8 in doubles with a 5-1 mark on the first line
Ethan Scribner - Junior (Plano, Texas)
- Marketing major, 3.81 GPA
- 2025 All-WAC First Team as doubles player with Alejandro Verdasco
- Went 4-3 in singles, 13-9 in doubles this spring with a 12-6 record when paired with Verdasco
