Men's Tennis Earns Spring Break Win Over Lehigh

ABILENE - The ACU men's tennis team bounced back with a 4-3 victory over the Lehigh Mountain Hawks on a sunny Tuesday afternoon at the Judi and Cecil Eager Tennis Pavilion.
The Wildcats (10-6 overall) scored the doubles point with two quick wins. Merse Deli and Benjamin McDonald defeated Sean Jaeger and Marc Blekhman 6-3. The duo of Ethan Scribner and Alejandro Verdasco followed shortly thereafter with a 6-4 win over Luke Donovan and Jose Murariu.
Matheus Limea and Martin Delnido were tied 5-5 in the number three doubles match, but did not finish because of ACU's two victories.
In singles competition, Lima made quick work of Lehigh's Wyeth Anzilotti, 6-1, 6-0. Scribner and Delnido also earned straight set wins against their opponents. McDonald and Dutine both rallied to win the second set in their respective matches, but both lost the tiebreaker.
ACU's next match is Tuesday, March 18 in Lubbock against Texas Tech at the McLeod Tennis Center. The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. Fans are able to watch the match online and follow along with live stats.
The Wildcats' next -- and final -- home match is Saturday, March 22 versus UT Permian Basin.
