Hubbard Earns WAC Player of the Week Award

Abilene Christian forward Bradyn Hubbard has been named the University Credit Union WAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Hubbard scored 22 points, grabbed six rebounds and swiped four steals -- all of which led ACU in a 75-68 win at Texas Southern on Dec. 22. The performance was Hubbard's fourth game with at least 20 points this season. His 15.9 points per game average ranks fourth most in the WAC.
This is the second straight week ACU has had a conference award winner. Cbo Newton was named the WAC Newcomer of the Week last Monday.
The Wildcats open conference action with a pair of games at Moody Coliseum -- Thursday, Jan. 1 vs. Utah Tech, and Saturday, Jan. 3 vs. Utah Valley.
