ABILENE – The WAC Baseball Tournament begins Tuesday but Abilene Christian doesn't play until Thursday as the second seed in the eight-team tournament.
The Wildcats await the winner of Game 3 which pits Utah Valley against UT Arlington or UT Rio Grande Valley. The latter two teams meet in a single-elimination round contest Tuesday at 1 p.m. (Central). ACU plays at 10 a.m. (CT) on Thursday.
In Tuesday's other elimination game, Tarleton State plays Sacramento State at 3 p.m. (CT). That winner advances to the double-elimination round to play California Baptist in Game 4. Grand Canyon awaits the winner of Game 4.
The Wildcats are 10-9 against the tournament field with wins against each of the eight entrants. ACU was 3-1 against Tarleton State and 2-1 against Utah Valley and UT Arlington.

Brett Lanman leads the WAC with a 3.16 earned run average, 6.85 hits allowed per nine innings, and is second with 9.88 strikeouts per nine.
Setting the Table: Miller Ladusau leads the WAC with his .482 on-base percentage and is second in the league with 57 runs.
Hitters: ACU has two of the WAC's top five hitters.
Miller Ladusau is second at .365 and D'Alessio stands at .362. D'Alessio also is third in the WAC with 58 RBIs.
