Wildcats Drop Series Finale to UC Davis

Box Score ABILENE – Abilene Christian dropped the series finale with UC Davis taking a 6-5 win on Sunday.
 
The teams traded runs in the first inning with Miller Ladusau connecting for a game-tying home run for ACU.
 
After falling behind 4-2, ACU an RBI single by DJ Van Atten in the fourth and took the lead with a three-run fifth. A run-scoring error and a Gino D'Alessio RBI fielder's choice tied the game and Maddox Miesse bunted home the go-ahead run.
 
The Aggies tied the game in the eighth and got the go-ahead run in the ninth. The Wildcats got a runner aboard with one out in the bottom of the ninth but couldn't bring him around.
 
Ladusau led ACU's six-hit game with his home run and a double. Reese Borho had two singles and D'Alessio and Van Atten had one single each.
 
Cade McGarrh took the loss. Caden Greanead pitched two scoreless innings of relief.

The Wildcats host TCU at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday.
