UP IN THE RANKS: Kaydee Bennett continues her reign in the WAC ranks. Bennett is No. 1 in the Western Athletic Conference for on-base percentage (.528); No. 2 in the WAC for batting average (.453; No. 17 in the NCAA), slugging (.736), triples (No. 8 nationally) and triples per game (No. 14 in the nation); No. 3 in the conference for stolen bases and No. 5 in the WAC for hits (No. 53 in the NCAA).
Olivia Marble is right up there with Bennett. Marble is No. 2 in the WAC for doubles (No. 14 in the NCAA), doubles per game (No. 19 in the nation) and stolen bases; No. 5 for batting average (.398; No. 88 nationally), No. 7 in the conference for hits (No. 91 in the nation) and No. 8 in the WAC for slugging (.602).
Sammie Shelander also finds herself in the ranks at No. 3 in the WAC for doubles (No. 35 in the NCAA) and No. 7 in the conference for slugging (.594).
DOUBLES: The Wildcats are tied for No. 1 in the nation for doubles per game (2.00) and continue at No. 1 in the WAC for doubles with 72 this season, ranking them No. 6 in the nation.
OUT OF THE PARK: ACU is now No. 3 in the WAC with 0.75 home runs per game. They have 27 home runs this season.
THE CATS CAN BAT: The Wildcats are No. 2 in the WAC for slugging (.474), No. 3 for on-base percentage (.367) and No. 5 for batting average (.290).
WELCOME TO THE 100 CLUB: Avery Miloch joined the 100-RBI club last weekend with 100 career RBIs. Miloch had two RBIs versus Texas Tech and four against Southern Utah.
LAST SERIES: ACU started off hot, defeating Southern Utah 13-5 in the first game of the series. The Wildcats fell short in the last two games, losing 3-14 and 6-10. Marble forces her reached base streak (hit, walk or HBP) to 24 after the weekend and her hitting streak to 17 – continuing her reign with the longest streak of the season. ACU scored 22 runs from 27 hits and 81 at bats last weekend against Southern Utah.
ON DECK: The Wildcats are home next weekend for a three-game WAC series against UT Arlington.
