Dutine Gets Win Against Baylor

ABILENE – Dennis Dutine got a win at No. 5 singles and Abilene Christian battled Baylor well but fell 6-1 on Sunday.

Dutine won his match 1-6, 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 to wrap up the day.

Mihaly Deli forced his No. 3 singles match to three sets and Dario Kmet and Cesar Barranquero lost after forcing set tiebreakers in the second sets of their matches.

Baylor was coming off a win over fifth-ranked USC.

"It's incredible just to have that level of a team at home," said ACU Head Coach Juan Nunez. "It's pretty special and to watch the way they took us as seriously as they did was incredible. The atmosphere they brought kind of got our crowd going. It was a unique experience for us. I loved the way our guys competed on every court. It was awesome."

The Wildcats now head to Colorado for matches at the Air Force Academy, where they will play Air Force on Friday and Northern Arizona on Saturday.
