The 2024 United Athletic Conference Champion ACU football team not only won on the field, but in the classroom, too.
Three players -
Alan Hatten,
Nehemiah Martinez I, and
Tay Yanta - were voted to the 11-member UACÂ All-Academic Team. ACU's three selections is the most of the UAC's nine schools.
The Wildcats also led the conference with 14 selections, plus
Coach of the Year Keith Patterson, on the All-UACÂ Teams.
Hatten, Martinez and Yanta each already earned a bachelor's degree from ACU and have built perfect 4.0 GPAs in their respective Master's programs.
Coincidentally, each of the three was also honored athletically on the All-UACÂ Offenses with Martinez and Yanta landing on the 1st Team, and Hatten on the 2nd Team.
Hatten is working on his Master's in Management Sciences and is expected to graduate in the summer of 2025. Martinez has spent two semesters at ACU. He is also expected to graduate next summer with a Master's Certificate in Conflict Management.
This fall Yanta started his Master's in Strength, Conditioning and Human Performance. His projected completion date is the spring of 2026.
Fourteen ACU football players finished the fall semester with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
