ACU Sending Eight to West Regional

ABILENE – Abilene Christian sends eight athletes to compete in nine events next week at the NCAA Track and Field West Regional in Sacramento.
Zoe Burleson qualified in both the shot put and the discus, Ella Anttila made the cut in the triple jump and Payton Kirk is entered in the long jump.
For the men, Jamal January qualified in the 110 hurdles, Jack Marshall in the 100 meters, Jared Williams in the 400, Will Harris in the long jump and Nathanial Collier in the discus.
The four-date meet begins with men's first-round events on Wednesday with Harris in the long jump and January, Marshall and Williams on the track.
Burleson competes in the shot put and Kirk in the long jump when women's events launch on Thursday.
Collier throws Friday afternoon and the quarterfinals for the men's running events are Friday evening.
Saturday has Burleson in the discus and Anttila in the triple jump.
To qualify for the national site in Austin, athletes must finish in the top 12 in the regional competition.
