Kmet Named Player of the Week

ABILENE – The Western Athletic Conference on Wednesday named Abilene Christian's Dario Kmet its Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week.
Kmet, a junior from Sydney, Australia went 2-0 at No. 1 singles in two team victories that put ACU on top in the WAC standings. Kmet defeated Jonathan DaSilva, Grand Canyon, 6-3, 7-6 and defeated Clement Hamel, Seattle, 5-7, 6-3, 3-0.
"I'm really happy for Dario," said ACU Head Coach Juan Nunez. "He was sidelined two or three weeks with injury and he isn't fully recovered yet. He still finds ways to win his matches for his team. That guy hates losing more than anyone I know. This is well-deserved."
