Personal Bests Abundant for ACU in Waco

WACO – Abilene Christian posted some strong marks on the first day of Baylor's Michael Johnson Invitational on Friday.
Payton Kirk cleared 3.87 meters for a personal best in the women's pole vault, placing seventh.
Grace White hit a personal record in the 5000 meters at 17:29.17 for fourth place, followed by Peyton Bornstein at 18:00.36 and Katelyn Coldicott at 18:29.26.
Zoe Burleson had a season-best discus throw of 52.18 meters for fifth place and Kailey Roskop also had a season-best at 43.01. Roskop was 16th in the hammer throw at 49.25 meters.
Savannah Walker had a season-best 24.11 seconds in the 200 meters, followed by Ja'Dasia Sims with a personal record of 24.94 and Hannah Foster at 25.18.
Courtney Latham was 17th in the 400 hurdles at 1:03.45.
Kevin Castruita was fourth with a personal record of 14:44.07 in the 5000 meters.
Nathanial Collier had a new personal record of 54.63 meters in the discus for seventh place with Athan Huelskamp logging a throw of 47.75 meters.
Neal Helgerson was 18th in the 1500 meters at 3:53.91 and had a personal record, as did Gabe Trevino at 4:00.53.
Jamal January was 14th in the 400 hurdles at 54.34.
Jack Marshall was 17th in the 200 meters at 20.98 seconds, followed by Jared Williams at 21.40 and Addison Franklin at 21.90.
The meet concludes Saturday.
