Ramsey Named Mitchell Award Finalist

ABILENE – Abilene Christian University kicker Kyle Ramsey is a finalist for the Fred Mitchell Award, the organization announced on Monday.
The Fred Mitchell Award is awarded to a kicker based on performance, academic achievement and community service.
Ramsey finished the season with a 93.3 percent field goal percentage, going 14 of 15 on the season. He has three of the top four field goals in terms of distance and was four of five this season in field goal attempts beyond 50 yards.
The award winner will be announced on Friday.
The other nine finalists are Lake Barrett of Wooster, Caden Bonoffski of William & Mary, Christian Casillas of DuPage, Matthew Cook of Northern Iowa, Jacob Laurent of Carroll, Will Leyland of South Dakota, Richard McCollum of Western Carolina, Landon Reeves of Ottawa-Arizona and Michael Stack of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
