VB to Host UTRGV on Thursday

ABILENE – Abilene Christian takes on Texas-Rio Grande Valley at 6 p.m. in Moody Coliseum on Thursday with a chance to tie the Vaqueros for third place in the standings.
 
ACU comes into the tournament at 10-10 overall and 5-3 in the league after a loss at Stephen F. Austin on Saturday.
 
With a month left in the season, ACU is fourth in the league standings. The top eight advance to the WAC Tournament next month in Orem, Utah.
 
ACU Storylines
 
WAC ATTACK: Bryley Steinhilber has been impressive this season at 3.02 kills per set. She averages 3.53 kills per set against the Western Athletic Conference. Ashli Edmiston gives ACU a strong presence as well, averaging 2.77 kills per set this season.
 
PAIR OF ACES: Madeline Guffy and Abby Christian lead ACU with 28 aces this season. Christian has 13 against league teams. Sara Carrizales is right behind the leaders at 22 aces for the year. ACU is 19^th nationally and second in the WAC with 142 aces this season.
 
DIGGITY: Sara Carrizales leads the team with 3.72 digs per set this season with Andie Sheppard close behind at 2.82.
 
BOX IN: Breanna Box leads the Wildcats with 0.58 blocks per set this season.
