ABILENE – Abilene Christian men's tennis begins its three-match stay in Colorado Springs on Friday with East Tennessee State, followed on Saturday with a match against Montana and wrapping up on Sunday with host Air Force.
The Wildcats come in at 2-1 after sweeping Lubbock Christian and Hardin-Simmons last weekend.
All nine ACU men have seen the court this season and the Wildcats have fashioned a 13-5 record in singles with Cesar Barranquero, Savan Chhabra, Mihaly Deli, Benjamin McDonald and Ethan Scribner hammering out two wins each. Scribner and Deli are both 2-0.
The Wildcats have deployed six different doubles tandems and have pulled together a 6-2 record in doubles. Chhabra and Scribner have been the constant, forging a 2-1 record while playing at all three lines.
It will be the first meeting between ACU and ETSU at 5 p.m., Mountain time. The Bucs are off to an 0-3 start with losses to Mississippi State, South Alabama and Clemson. Thiago Pernas is 1-0 in No.1 singles and 2-0 in doubles.
