Women's basketball announces non-conference slate

ABILENE – The Abilene Christian women's basketball team released the opponents and dates for its non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 season. The full schedule is now up-to-date, which features 11 non-conference games building up to the 18-game WAC schedule, which begins on Thursday, Dec. 29. Altogether, the 29-game schedule begins in the newly-renovated Moody Coliseum on Wednesday, Nov. 9 against Howard Payne.
 

NON-CONFERENCE SLATE

November
- ACU begins with HPU on Nov. 9 before heading out to Houston to take on Rice for the very first time in program history on Sunday, Nov. 13.
- The Wildcats return to Moody for a home date with the NAIA's University of the Southwest (N.M.) on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
- ACU takes on UTSA down in San Antonio as a part of a home-and-home from last's year meeting Abilene. That game will be played on Sunday, Nov. 20.
- The 'Cats then hit the road for a tournament in Denton over Thanksgiving. North Texas will host the UNT Thanksgiving Tournament from Friday, Nov. 25 through Sunday, Nov. 27. ACU plays on both days. The opponents are yet to be determined.

December
- ACU opens the month of December at home against Alabama State out of the Southwestern Athletic Conference on Friday, Dec. 2. It will be the first meeting between the schools.
- The Wildcats hit the road for one of their tougher non-conference games in Albuquerque, N.M. to battle the New Mexico Lobos. That game will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 7.
- The final road game of the non-con will be the other home-and-home return trip for ACU, when they head to Tulsa, Okla. to take on Oral Roberts on Sunday, Dec. 11.
- ACU wraps the non-conference slate at home with a pair of games, including former Southland rival Nicholls on Monday, Dec. 19, and cross-town school McMurry on Wednesday, Dec. 21.
