UTRGV transfer Brooke Jessen joins ACU WBB

ABILENE – ACU women's basketball head coach Julie Goodenough announced the signing of UTRGV transfer Brooke Jessen for the 2022-23 season. The Wildcats will have quite a bit of turnover heading into next season with the graduation of five players, and Jessen helps fill the void at the forward position. The task is not only to fill in numbers but to fill in talent and character. It's about more than just basketball. It's about being an ACU Wildcat. And Jessen fits the bill heading into the fall.
I am thrilled that Brooke is joining our Wildcat family. She is definitely a puzzle piece that we needed to add in this spring signing period. LAST SEASON AT UTRGV
- Played in 31 games as a freshman
- Scored a career-high 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including a career-best 3-of-3 from behind the arc in the win over ACU in the WAC Tournament
- Scored 12 points with a career-high three assists in the win over McNeese
HIGH SCHOOL
- Was a multi-sport athlete lettering in basketball and volleyball all four years, while also playing golf and softball
- Helped her basketball team to four-straight trips to the state tournament throughout her career, including back-to-back state championships during her junior and senior seasons
- Finished her career with over 1,000 points and earned All-Idaho Team honors all four years, including three on the first team
- Named the 3A High School Girls Athlete of the Year in 2019-20 and the All-Idaho Player of the Year as a senior
PERSONAL
- Daughter of Brent and Anette Jessen
- Plans to major in kinesiology at ACU
