LUBBOCK, Texas – The Abilene Christian track and field team sent a handful of throwers to Texas Tech over the weekend to take part in the Corky/Crofoot Shootout.
Annina Brandenburg was once again the star of the show, picking up wins in three events.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Brandenburg took first with a lifetime-best in the shot put (17.10m/56' 1 ¼"), while Zoe Burleson (14.16m/46' 5") picked up fifth in the same event.
- Brandenburg added wins in the discus (58.27m/191' 2") and the javelin (47.44m/155' 8"), while Burleson (49.50/162' 5") earned fourth in the discus and Kailey Roskop (42.18m/138' 5") gave ACU three of the top six individuals.
- Roskop and Burleson took second and third respectively in the hammer, doing so with distances of 46.54m (152' 8") and 44.69m (146' 7").
- Tyler Richardson won the men's shot put (17.21m/56' 8") as well as the B Section of the discus (lifetime-best 48.55m/159' 3") while turning in a third place finish in the hammer (55.76m/182' 11").
- Athan Huelskamp (16.48m/54' 1") turned in a lifetime-best in the shot put to finish third before adding an eighth-place finish in the discus with a distance of 48.00m (157' 6"). He also finished 9th in the hammer (47.87m/157' 1") to round out a strong weekend for the Purple and White.

- The Wildcats now shift the focus to their first-ever Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship, which is set to take place in Seattle from May 12-14.
