2021-2022: Indoors – in the WAC championship meet, placed 4^th in both the shot put and weight throw. Outdoors – in the WAC championship meet, Tyler placed 2^nd in the shot put and 3^rd in the hammer throw. Also won the Corky Classic in Lubbock in both the shot put and discus.

2020-2021: Indoors – at the SLC championship, he won the weight throw (with a PR throw of 63-8.75/19.42m) and was 2^nd in the shot put. All T&F athletes received a redshirt season due to the pandemic. Outdoors – won the shot put, was 4^th in the hammer throw and 5^th in the discus at the Southland Conference championship. Earlier in the season, Tyler also on the Michael Johnson Inv in Waco with a PR throw of 58-1.75/17.72m.

2019-2020: Indoors – won the shot put and placed 5^th in the weight throw in his first collegiate conference championship. Outdoors - season cancelled due to pandemic – all T&F athletes received a redshirt.

2018-2019: Indoors and outdoors – redshirted

Before ACU: Competing for Canadian (TX) HS, he was runner-up in the 3A shot put at the 2018 state meet, after winning the Region I-3A shot put at ACU’s Elmer Gray Stadium. Also was the runner-up in 2017 in the 3A shot put as HS junior.

Personal: Tyler received a BS from ACU in spring, 2022. He is a 2018 graduate of Canadian HS and his parents are Kevin and Darcie Richardson.
