77 Wildcats named to WAC all-academic teams

DENVER – The Western Athletic Conference today announced the 2021-22 Academic All-WAC honorees for fall and winter sports, and a total of 77 ACU student-athletes across nine sports were honored.
To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
Of the fall sports, football led the way with 18 recipients, while women's soccer had 10, volleyball had seven, and men's and women's cross country each had five.
Of the winter sports, women's indoor track & field had 15 on the list, while men's indoor track & field put 10 on. Women's basketball had five on the list, while men's hoops had two recipients.
