COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Wildcats kept pace with a tough Texas A&M team through 20 minutes of action on Friday night before the Aggies pulled away in the second half. The Wildcats forced 19 turnovers and had 11 steals, but they sent the Aggies to the line 35 times where they made 25 free throws. ACU was able to get within 11 points with under six minutes to play, but Texas A&M pulled away again late to earn the 77-58 win.

Key Plays

Immanuel Allen set the tone for the Wildcats' defense early with a steal on the Aggies first offensive possession.
Down 20-10, the Wildcats went on a 7-2 run to cut the lead to five capped by a dunk from Allen.
With just under three minutes to play in the first half, Tobias Cameron hit a three to get the Wildcats within six points and on the very next possession Cameron Steele got a steal that led to a transition three from Ja'Sean Jackson to get the Wildcats within three points.
The Aggies opened the second half with an 8-0 run, all scored by Wade Taylor IV, to push their lead to 13.
Airion Simmons scored nine-straight points early in the second half to keep the Wildcats within striking distance.
A 6-0 run, capped by a layup from Damien Daniels, got the Wildcats within 11 points late but the Aggies pushed their lead back up to 15 quickly and kept it there as they closed out the game.

Airion Simmons led the Wildcats with 15 points, all scored in the second half, and went 4-5 from deep.
Immanuel Allen tallied 14 in the game, scoring 10 of his points in the first half.
Damien Daniels led the team with 6 rebounds.
