Wildcats down DBU for first win of season

ABILENE, Texas – The ACU men's tennis team picked up its' first win of 2022 on Saturday, sweeping Dallas Baptist 7-0 at Eager Tennis Pavilion. The Wildcats were in a rhythm all afternoon, dominating the match from start to finish.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The doubles tandem of Tyler Stewart and Riley Tran took the top flight 6-3, while Jose Maria Rastrojo and Benjamin McDonald swept #2 doubles 6-0.
- Oswaldo Cano and Cesar Barranquero also won by a final of 6-0 on Court 3, helping ACU sweep doubles action.
- Stewart battled Grant McKenzie in the top singles flight and prevailed in a 6-2, 7-5 victory on the tightest flight of the day.
- On Court 2, Barranquero defeated Gabe Garrido 6-1, 6-1, while Tran came away with a 6-2, 6-3 victory on Court 3.
- Rastrojo picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win in #4 singles, while McDonald and Flanagan rounded it out with a 6-1, 6-1 and a 6-2, 6-1 victory respectively.

- The Purple and White return to action on Thursday, when they host UT Permian Basin at Eager Tennis Pavilion.
