ABILENE – Coming off three straight wins, the ACU football team is set to host Central Arkansas on Saturday evening at Wildcat Stadium, marking the first WAC/ASUN Challenge game of the season for the Purple and White. ACU will also be hosting its' annual Pink Game in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.Â

Central Arkansas leads the all-time series 9-1-1 between the former Southland Conference foes. The most recent matchup came in 2019, when UCA edged out ACU 31-30 in Conway. Â

-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â ACU has outscored opponents 152-16 over their last three games, and eight different Wildcat players got into the end zone in last weekend's 56-0 win over Lamar in Beaumont. It was Abilene Christian's first road shutout since 2006, when the Wildcats defeated Eastern New Mexico 21-0 in Lone Star Conference action.Â

Osaretin Obadeyi. 30 Wildcat defenders were credited with a tackle on Saturday night, as the Cardinals were limited to just 136 total yards.Â

Stone Earle completed 13 of his 18 attempts for three scores before giving way to
Peyton Mansell midway through the third quarter. The latter answered by going for 107 rushing yards on just six attempts, helping the 'Cats rush for 200+ yards for the third straight game.Â

Kobe Clark has caught a touchdown in each of his last six games dating back to last season. He collected his fifth scoring catch of the season on Saturday night, surpassing his season total from 2020.Â

-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The Bears have posted a 1-3 record to this point in the season and are looking to win their first road game of the 2021 campaign. Last weekend at home, UCA fell to defending National Champion Sam Houston in the WAC/ASUN Challenge game of the year by a final of 45-35.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Wide receiver Tyler Hudson exploded against the Bearkats, hauling in 11 catches for 181 yards and two of Breylin Smith's four touchdown passes on the day. Hudson's 122.0 yards per game are tops in the ASUN Conference.Â
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Junior defensive back Deandre Lamont was big for Central Arkansas last week, picking up eight total tackles, a sack and three pass break-ups.Â
