ABILENE -- Abilene Christian Track and Field brings its men's and women's teams to Waco's Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium Saturday for the Baylor Invitational, where the Wildcats will be competing against Air Force, host Baylor, Louisiana-Monroe, Oklahoma State, SFA, TCU, Texas Southern and Texas Tech.

Events begin at 10 a.m. with the men's hammer throw and high jump, plus the women's javelin throw and is expected to conclude close to 6 p.m. with the men's 4x400-meter relay.
The Wildcats have 102 entries across most events at this one-day meet, which will be their first of two trips to Baylor this month as ACU will return April 16-17 for the Michael Johnson Invitational.
ACU's men's team currently has eight student-athletes ranked among the top 25 in the NCAA West Region, including junior JJ Ply who rose to No. 5 in the rankings after scoring a PR total 7,165 points in the Texas Relays decathlon. Saturday the Central Arizona transfer is entered in four events: 110m hurdles, high jump, pole vault and javelin.
Also impressive this outdoor season has been 19th-ranked triple jumper Sean Germany (15.32m / 50-3.25) and 17th-ranked freshman sprinter Jack Marshall, who clocked a 10.44 (100m) at Texas Relays last week. Marshall also is part of the Wildcats' sprint relay, which owns the No. 11 ranked time in the West Region of 40.12. Joining him Saturday on this relay will be Addison Franklin, Le'Gari Daniels and Avery Williams.
Eleven ACU women are ranked 25th or higher in the West Region, mostly notably senior thrower Annina Brandenburg who will be featured in three contests this weekend: shot put, discus and javelin. She ranks No. 7 in the region in the discus (55.62m / 182-6) and 15th in the shot put (16.09m / 52-9.5).
Sophomore Zoe Spinn is No. 8 in the high jump (1.77m / 5-9.75), while the team's sprint relay of Taylor Tolen, Mya Henson, Amy Ambelang and Savannah Walks ranks 19th after posting a 46.07 in Austin.
