2021-2022: Indoors – at the WAC championships, just missed scoring when she placed 9th in the pentathlon. Outdoors – at the WAC championship, she ran the 3rd leg on the 1st place 4x100 relay. Also placed 11th in the 200 and 16th in the 100. At the Oliver Jackson Twilight, she placed 7th in the 200 (PR time of 24.43) and 10th in the 100 (PR time of 11.90). She will concentrate on training in the sprints going forward.
2020-2021: Indoors – at the SLC championships, she placed 4th in the pentathlon (with a PR total of 3345 points) and 9th in the 60 hurdles. All T&F athletes can count this as a redshirt season due to the pandemic. Outdoors – at the SLC championship, she ran the anchor leg on the 3rd place 4x100 relay and placed 9th in the heptathlon with a PR total of 4555 points. Also anchored the 6th place group in the Texas Relays University 4x100 relay.
2019-2020: Indoors – at her first ever collegiate conference meet, Amy got 12th in the pentathlon and 23rd in the 60 hurdles at the SLC championship. Outdoors – the season was cancelled due to pandemic – all athletes received a redshirt season.
Before ACU: At the 2019 TAPPS state meet in her HS senior year, Amy won the TAPPS 4A 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles, as well as placing 2nd in the long jump, 5th in the high jump, and anchoring the 1st place 4x200 relay. She placed 5th in the Texas Relays Division 1 100 hurdles as a senior as well. She won a total of 3 TAPPS 4A championships in the 100 hurdles and 2 championships in the 300 hurdles.
Personal: Amy graduated from Geneva School of Boerne in 2019 and her parents are Bryant and Mary Ambelang.
