MANHATTAN, Kan. – Grad transfer
Jamie Bonnarens led the way with 16 points for the Abilene Christian women's basketball team Tuesday night against the Kansas State Wildcats of the Big 12 Conference. ACU (3-1) responded after a tough first quarter and went blow-for-blow with a Power 5 bunch that had a player no shorter than 5' 9" on its team. ACU got down early but battled to a 62-48 game in the final three periods against the 5-1 K-State group.
Turning Point: K-State's first quarter
Kansas State scored 31 points and shot 62% from the floor with five three-pointers in the first quarter. ACU battled back tough in the final three periods, but K-State was able to hold onto the big lead.

- Bonnarens had her best performance as a Wildcat in the early season, scoring 16 points on four makes from the floor and hitting 8-of-10 at the foul line, all season-bests. She also added a team-high seven rebounds, also a season-high.
- Bonnarens was one away from a career-high in free throws made; she hit nine foul shots as a member of Cameron's basketball team against Texas A&M-Kingsville in Feb. 2018.
- Miller tallied eight points on 3-of-8, and added four rebounds, an assist, and two steals.
- Mraz hit a pair of three's in the game, the only Wildcat to hit multiple from down town.

ACU will head to the ORU Thanksgiving Classic in Tulsa, Okla. for a pair of games over the holiday weekend. The 'Cats line up against Little Rock on Saturday before taking on Arkansas State on Sunday. Both games tip at 11 a.m.
