Football Boast Notes from Charlottesville

- Junior wide receiver Kobe Clark caught his fourth touchdown pass of the season to set a personal single-season high and seventh of his career. He'll enter his senior year of 2021 with 1,466 yards and 141 receptions. His career reception total ranks ninth at ACU behind Darrell Cantu-Harkless (147).
- Clark led the Wildcats at Virginia with seven catches and 81 yards, including a 32-yard reception from Peyton Mansell.
- Senior placekicker Oscar Hernandez made his first appearance since 2018 and connected on the extra point to extend his personal streak to 42 consecutive PATs.
- Freshman Stone Earle led the Wildcats in rushing (20) and passing yards (150) in his collegiate debut, and completed 19-of-31 passes (62 percent) before being pulled in favor of Peyton Mansell in the third quarter. His longest pass was a 20-yard completion to L.J. McConnell.
- Earle led ACU to the UVA19 (11 plays / 44 yards) on his first career drive. He also led the Wildcats on a 14-play / 75-yard drive (7:23 TOP) at the end of the second quarter.
- Earle completed 6-of-7 passes in the second quarter.
- Mansell completed 9-of-13 passes in the second half (69 percent), and his rushing TD late in the fourth quarter was the second of his career and first since the 2018 season at Iowa.
- Mansell drove ACU into Virginia territory on four of his five second-half drives, including a 10-play / 73 yard drive that ended with his rushing TD with 1:26 left in regulation. He was 6-of-8 passing in the fourth quarter with 85 yards.
- The 28 completed passes were split between eight receivers. Freshman wide receiver Darius Lewis caught six passes for 51 yards followed by McConnell (5 for 67), and tight ends Branden Hohenstein (4 for 22) and Remington Lutz (3-for-32). Jordan Brooks-Wess, Robert McKnight and Davion Johnson each caught one pass.
- Punter Logan Burke averaged 44.4 yards per kick (his best single-game average of the season) and had a long of 48.
- Ben Norman's safety was one of 5.0 tackles for loss for the Wildcats. He is the first Wildcat to record a safety since Oct. 31, 2009 when Fred Thompson sacked the Texas A&M-Kingsville quarterback in the end zone.
- Senior linebacker Jack Gibbens and freshman cornerback Chris Satterfield tied for the team lead with 7.0 tackles. Gibbens has 258 career tackles with 7.0 sacks an 23.0 tackles for loss. He was credited with a sack and 2.0 TFL vs. the Cavaliers.
- Additional TFLs were registered by Chike Nwanko, Jairan Parker and Marquez Brown.
- Senior offensive lineman Kade Parmelly appeared in his 40th consecutive game. He is the only Wildcat among this year's senior class (2017-present) not to miss a game during their tenure.
- ACU led in time of possession - 32:30 to 27:30
