Texas A&M football game in 2020 moved to season-opener

ABILENE – ACU and Texas A&M announced a change in their scheduled 2020 game that will also affect ACU's game against Southern Utah.

The Wildcats were originally schedule to open their season on Sept. 5, 2020, against Southern Utah at Anthony Field at Wildcat Stadium and travel to College Station on Nov. 21, 2020, to take on Texas A&M. However, those games have been flipped and now the Wildcats will open the 2020 season on against Texas A&M on Sept. 5 at Kyle Field in College Station and close the season at home against Southern Utah on Nov. 21.

ACU has never played either Texas A&M or Southern Utah in football, although the game against Southern Utah is the first in a two-game series between the two programs. ACU will return the game against the Thunderbirds on Sept. 11, 2021, when the Wildcats travel to Cedar City, Utah, for the second game of the season.

ACU officials are still working to fill one date on the 2019 football schedule before it is released to the public.
