ITA Texas Tennis Regional begin Thursday for WTEN

ABILENE – Abilene Christian's fall tennis season concludes this weekend (Oct. 18-20) with the annual ITA Texas Regionals. This year's tournament, which features 18 schools competing in a 128-woman singles draw and 64-team doubles bracket, is being hosted by the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center on the campus of Texas A&M University.
The Wildcats are represented by six student-athletes: Sarah Eleanor Adams, Autumn Crossnoe Bellow, Jordan Henry, Nini Memishishi, Allison Stewart and Sylvia Viljoen.
Doubles matches start at 8:45 a.m. Henry and Vilojen face Incarnate Word's Sara Djurdjevic and Jelena Dordan. Adams and Stewart take on Kaja Ljubic and Laura Cabrera of Stephen F. Austin and Crossnoe Bellow and Memishishi battle the UTSA duo of Sophie Omoworare and Laura Cabrera.
ACU's first-round of singles matches is composed of Adams vs. Texas State's Rishona Lewis, Crossnoe Bellow vs. Jelena Dordan (UIW), Stewart vs. Neharika Rama (Prairie View A&M), Viljoen vs. Jessica Lackey (Prairie View A&M), Memishishi vs. Cabrera (UTSA) and Henry vs. Djurdjevic (UIW).
