Here's a brief look at ACU and Northwestern State:
•
ACU (11-25, 2-19 Southland) – Crippen enters the final home series of his career as ACU's NCAA Division I-era leader in virtually every offensive category, including runs scored (101), hits (201), doubles (45), home runs (17), RBI (99), total bases (303) and stolen bases (28). … His 45 career doubles have him tied for eighth in ACU history in the category, while his 201 hits are 10th in ACU history.
•
Northwestern State (18-29, 8-16 Southland) – Northwestern State (18-29, 8-16) won its first conference series of the season this past weekend, taking two of three from Incarnate Word. The Demons sit a game behind Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and four games behind a trio of teams – Lamar, Nicholls and New Orleans – who are tied for the Nos. 7 and 8 spots in the Southland Conference standings. … This weekend's series marks the second, third and fourth games of the Demons' final road trip of the season, a five-game swing that started with a Tuesday loss at Little Rock and concludes May 16 at nationally ranked LSU.
