Champions Circle members making an impact on ACU Athletics

Abilene, TX – Over the past year, ACU Athletics has seen exponential growth in the Champions Circle, a prestigious and exclusive group of donors who support Wildcat athletics by making an unrestricted gift of at least $10,000 per year. The Champions Circle – which began under the leadership for former director of athletics Jared Mosley – is a sub-set of the Wildcat Club, the official fundraising organization of ACU Athletics.
Since 2015, the Champions Circle has seen a 60 percent increase in membership and continues to expand rapidly. However, the remarkable growth in membership recently is just the beginning and must continue in order for ACU Athletics to thrive at the NCAA Division I level.
"The Champions Circle makes a tremendous impact on the success of our entire athletics department," ACU director of athletics Lee De León said. "I'm so grateful to the people who have stepped up and joined, but we must expand this group of supporters in order to take ACU Athletics to new heights."
The money raised through the Champions Circle provides unrestricted support to help meet the various needs of a successful Division I athletics department.
Some of the expenses covered by members of the Champions Circle include increasing the number of scholarships, enhancing individual team operations, improving academics support, and supplying the resources necessary to compete at the top of the Southland Conference.
Members of the Champions Circle are entitled to exclusive events and have the opportunity to meet personally with the director of athletics and head coaches to discuss strategic initiatives and priorities for the Wildcats. Additionally, members of the Champions Circle receive all of the level "I" benefits of the Wildcat Club such as an invitation to travel with one of the teams and two sideline passes at all home football games. Current members of this prestigious group are comprised of alumni, lettermen, local businessmen, and fans.
Champions Club contributions will directly assist ACU in achieving its vision of winning at the highest level by providing the most Christ-centered experience in collegiate athletics. If you have questions or would like to join the Champions Circle, please contact De León at 324-674-2353 or athleticdirector@acu.edu.
