Prather Joins ACU Athletics as Assistant AD for Ticket Operations

ABILENE - Antoine Prather joined the Abilene Christian University athletics staff in March as the assistant athletic director for ticket operations. In his role, Prather oversees the Wildcat Ticket Office's efforts for football, basketball and baseball and leads a team of ticketing assistants and interns and event staff.
A former track and field student-athlete, Prather is experienced in numerous realms of the college athletics sphere, including ticketing, revenue generation, marketing, game operations, compliance and media relations. Before making his way to the Big Country, he served as the director of ticketing and promotions at Virginia Military Institute.
Prather joined the Keydets' staff in June 2024. He generated over $400,000 in revenue through ticketing for football and men's basketball and led the department into several initiatives, including a hybrid digital ticketing model, premium spaces for football games and enhanced gameday parking and tailgating experiences.
From 2022-24, Prather was an assistant athletic director at his alma mater, LaGrange College. He oversaw ticketing and revenue generation and served as the gameday manager for multiple sports over the course of the athletic year. Prather introduced season tickets for the baseball and men's and women's basketball programs while hiring and training a team of work study student assistants.
Prather secured corporate sponsorships through hard cash and in-kind gifts to support LaGrange student-athletes, in addition to managing team travel and lodging.
Prather was a compliance intern within LaGrange athletics from 2020-22, where he maintained and revised policy for the department's general operation. He organized training programs to educate athletics staff on NCAA bylaws and obtained transfer trackers for incoming transfer student-athletes. Prather was also responsible for entering LaGrange student-athletes into the transfer portal.
Prather interned with the Southeast Missouri State University athletic department for the 2018-19 athletic year, assisting in a number of areas, including compliance, facility management and media relations.
A native of LaGrange, Ga., Prather earned his Bachelor's of Arts in digital creative media and film from LaGrange College in 2022. He graduated from Arkansas State University in 2024 with his Master of Science in sport administration. Prather has participated in several NCAA forums and seminars and is a member of the National Association of Athletic Ticket Sales and Operations.
