ABILENE – Thirteen Wildcats this week were officially named All-Southland Conference Indoor Track and Field led by first-team selections Alexandria Hackett, Kimone Green and Kenzie Walker Mascorro.
Hackett's record-setting junior season culminated in a first-place showing in the 5,000 meters at last week's Southland Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala, earning her a Firs Team All-Conference position. She would add two second-place finishes in the mile and 3,000m.
Green defended her 400m title from one year ago, running 54.64 in the final. The St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, native was the first Wildcat woman to run the distance in sub-55 seconds since Elea Diarra in 2013.
