Wildcats finish Spring Break roadtrip with 4-0 win over Omaha

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Abilene Christian men's tennis pitched its first shutout of the spring Tuesday at UMKC's Plaza Tennis Center, blanking the Mavs of Omaha, 4-0.
In a shortened dual designed to give the Wildcats (6-12) additional travel time back to Abilene, ACU earned two quick doubles victories followed by singles triumphs at the No. 1, 5 and 6 positions. All other contests were left unfinished.
Sophomore Nico Agritelley won his second match of the week at No. 1, 6-1, 6-1, over Colin Buckley, and earlier he teamed with Henry Adams to beat the tandem of Ignace Warson and Erik Anderson, 8-1.
Agritelley leads the Wildcats this season with a 12-6 singles record, and is 9-8 in doubles.
Marco Bensely also defeated Warson in singles, 6-0, 6-1, from the No. 5 position, while Andrew Hutchinson beat Nathan Greteman, 6-3, 6-0, in his season debut.
Bensley and senior Guilherme Gesser won ACU's other doubles match, trampling the duo of John Ellis and Marko Minic, 8-2.
The Wildcats return to action Sunday, March 15 for a dual against the Texas A&M Aggies.
